Here are some of my more finalized logo ideas. I'm leaning towards a couple, but am still somewhat undecided.

1960s radio magazine. It's filled with rectangular boxes with knobs and buttons and occasional screen, choice typography and amazing retro illustrations. Liza bought it for me from the Humane Society thrift store and I could not be more happy that it's in my possession. I think this may be the first article I don't hack up with an Exacto but rather scan in the images and try composing on Photoshop instead. It's just that cool. Tanks, Liza!

LET IT BE KNOWN

That the antique emporium at 62 San Marco in St. Augustine is a GOLDMINE for antiques you can fit in the palm of your hand. That is, antiques of the smaller variety. It's huge, moderately priced, an completely encompassing. if you're in the area, you really have to go there and check it out for yourself. From tins to children's blocks to postcards to viewmasters to coins to pocketknives to buttons and pins and watches, it's worth an hour of browsing you you have it.

The new semester has started. Things won't be picking up for another 5 days or so. I'm anxious and excited and ready for all of it.

Would you believe that all this fine specimens of Americana only set me back $4.00?
Last night I had a dream that the entire horizon was on fire. I was walking down an infinitely long pier that came from the middle of an infinite ocean. I did the backstroke through marsh. I also showed up to a swim meet against Apopka kind of late (I wasn't expecting having to participate in a swim meet). I had to borrow goggles from the lost and found at College Park pool and get ready while Edgewater was already in the pool warming up. The entire dream was pretty surreal, I felt awake and remember the steps I took and a lot of the details one usually can't recall in a dream. I'd say it was a good one.

Oh, and two more friends died in this dream. One was an old old friend I don't really talk to anymore, I last saw him in high school. I can't recall the other one. That part of the dream was a little overwhelming to say the least.

I started journal #10 tonight, which explains the influx of energy and rhymes about splayed guts. Goodnight.

This is important to know when carrying a box of frozen curly fries. Do you know what would happen if you didn't handle curly fries like eggs? They would break. Break into smaller curly fries. If they broke enough they would appear to lose their curvature and resemble straight fries far too closely. This is good to know when handling curly fries.

So as it turns out my Macbook Pro Charger has melted away at the connection closest to the white box is surely will be breaking sometime in the next week or two. I originally began fixing the problem by taping it up and moving the cord until it began to power up. Then I had to pinch the cord where the bad connection was (over the plastic) to charge it, but after 10 seconds it was too hot to touch, so I had to abandon that plan. Now I've just wrapped up the boo boo in loose copper wire and re-wrapped it in plastic tape (for some reason there's no electrical tape in this house). Yes, I recognize this is very unsafe and a potential fire hazard, but I'm doing what I can until I can make this thing last just a little further.

I just checked on the cord and the tape is already melted. awwwwww SHIT. This is so bad.

Dave...I'm sorry. It was good seeing you in Stardust this past summer. You looked well. I remember your 10-year-old laugh as clear as day. I remember you used to kick the shit out of kickballs in PE. Once one popped just from making contact with the ground after it had left your foot. It's obvious your life continued to be lived to its fullest extent. You'll be missed.

Geeze. Dave. My grandfather three days ago. David Crawford. Nate. Too many people too soon. Why does death have to be so prevalent?

I think I had the best New Years ever. Liza was here for a couple days and we spend them doing everything worth doing in Orlando. It's necessary to go all out when trying to change someone's view of a particular city. Travis came up in the afternoon of new years eve and we all hung out and ate pasgetti and drinking beers and throwing bottle rockets into to the air so we had no idea in which direction they'd be shooting.
Caitlin had 3 friends and her boyfriend over and around 10:45 we headed downtown. Like usual, BAR BQ BAR had no cover, cheap drinks, okay music, and wonderfully interesting people. We were there for the countdown, which was confusing because the DJ was 30 seconds too late and no one actually know what time it really was. But that didn't really matter, it all worked out. Some highlights of the night:

+ Roman candle surgery
+ Aladdin on SNES
+ Secret hangout room
+ Sparklers inside the bar
+ $2 tallboys
+ Midnight G&Ts
+ Favorite people all around me all night.
