I was asked to design the new Orlando Critical Mass flier for 2010. I've been working on it for a couple hours and it's starting to look pretty cool. I think I was just cut out for tedious .20mm pen drawings, because it often seems that's what I go to when I have no limitations or requirements. I'll have a scanned-in version up in a day or so.

I will say though, just an observation, that I've noticed a lot of blogs (excluding most of my friends, which is real cool) that I come across consist purely of regurgitation of photos and videos from the internet. I mean, sharing things is one thing, and of course it's always neat to see the things that are posted, but to only post things others have done kind of defeats the purpose for having your own personal blog and automatically turns you into a little robot that distributes cool things to other people on the internet. I'm going to aim for mostly original content on this site, simply because I think it would be cool if everything I posted here was something I created or photographed or recorded. A much as I love ffffound, I feel like I have my own little repertoire of imagery that could easily replace anything I find there and repost here. So cheers to that.

(Of course, there will be the occasional posts where I share other people's things, things that are worth observation. But for the most part they're going to be my brainchildren.)

It's been awhile since I've written anything with any real content. This is due to the fact that I'm at home and have been finding myself doing more than sitting in front of a computer for hours on end. That isn't to say I haven't been thinking things and wanting to post things, because I have, but those thoughts usually end up as a sentence or two in a notebook or sheet of loose leaf. I'll try to get something up here soon. And yes, I'm aware of how many "So-I haven't-posted-anything-worth-reading-lately" posts I've written over the past couple years and that if I'm going to write something talking about how I am going to become more active it would probably be better to wait a day and actually just post something people would want to read. You know? Who want's to read handfuls of posts that tell you the next post will be more interesting. Thanks for making it this far and I promise that this will be the last post of this nature I'll ever write.

"If you will die for me,
I will die for you
and our graves will
be like two lovers washing
their clothes together
in a laundromat.
If you will bring the soap,
I will bring the bleach."

Ever try to kick so high that you fall flat on your back outside the bar where you drank a lot and have to go home with blood on your shirt? Yeah, me too.
Do not ask me how I know this, but cokeheads can make a phenomenal lasagna. I mean, one of the best lasagnas you've ever dreamed of.

Things I think you should do if you have the time:

1. Watch "American Movie" by Chris Smith
